Dear Tony

We need a clear consensus on this from the AGM.
Hopefully in this year 's AGM, we will get that consensus.
Once consensus is done, we will also need to agree on what type of system
to use...

Maybe you can via email to the agm suggest on what type of online voting
would be preferred in our case...

Certainly it is registered under Karnataka Act. However, I am not very sure
about the exact lines where it is mentioned (or not mentioned). The postal
ballots are adapted as per the best advice of our legal consultant in order
to avoid any issues should there be any disputes later during the course of
the newly elected board.

Moreover, sadly, we are not yet a Non-profit Organizsation officially.

Just for the information sake, could you let me know where is it mentioned.

Secondly, chapter is registered under Karnataka Societies Registration Act
1960. It has nothing to do with Companies Act 1956 or 2013( with
amendments) considering it is not a for profit organisation.

I tried reading the bare act long time back but couldn't find anything.

The issue is not exactly technology, but the legal compliance according to
the current framework as stipulated by the company law etc.
We have pondered upon and tried this much important possible alternative
even before. But it was not possible.
The law requires paper ballot evidence for future records. (Although it may
look ridiculously obsolete).
