I've never used OpenOffice before, but I presume Google's suggestion
to do the following doesn't work?

Press F11 to open the Styles and Formatting window. Click the
Paragraph Styles icon.
Right-click on Default and choose Modify. On the Font tab, set
the required typeface and size.
Click OK to save, then save the template.

In Australia/New Zealand they taste lovely. In the UK, bleh.

My second favourite lager is Tui (from NZ). But if you buy it here it
tastes like water...

Some of it is actually nice - lager is almost all you can get, but
there are tiny breweries that do stuff that verges on drinkable. The
mass-market piss is piss.

None of these are actually worth the money in the UK because of the
cost of shipping - for the price, you can get much nicer stuff from
Spain, SA or Chile. A pity. Same for kangaroo meat.
