It is clear that the board protected Roger. It is not clear that they did

That's a bit of a crappy line to take (sorry). Sommone can't really care
to meet people or it would have ben pre-arranged. Quite likely it wasn't
expected there would be much chance at all to meet generally, a lot of
things like this are last minute because of time constraints or because
somethng is resolved quicker than expected.

Did you ask last week will you have a chance to meet people while over?
If so, you'd have learned it was not expected even a few days ago, that
there would be any chance for other socializing because of tight time
constraints.

I think it's fairly symptomatic of the London-centricity of many people.
What is relatively easy for those living in the City to do is probably a
three-hour journey or more each way for those of us who live further afield
and needs planning. I simply find it discourteous (sorry) to exclude us
provincials, not deliberately, I'm sure, but through lack of forethought.

And if it was not expected even a few days ago, why do you expect me to
be asking about it last week? I don't mind being criticised for many
things, but a lack of psychic powers is not one of them.

2012-10-08 Thread FT2
1/ I see. It's terrible that when you have a few hours unexpectedly
spare to meet people, one might not use 6 of them travelling to Manchester
and back to hold your (negative duration?) social just before waking up
bright and early for the (very early) transatlantic flight from the same
city where the wedding took place.

Repeated events can move. One-off unscheduled time around a tightly
planned event is often wherever it happens to be. To accuse someone
effectively of not giving a shit for others because it happened that they
could fit in some social time but not easily in a different part of the
country, is still crappy. Just apologize.

2/ A few days ago *is* last week

I think it's fairly symptomatic of the London-centricity of many people.
What is relatively easy for those living in the City to do is probably a
three-hour journey or more each way for those of us who live further afield
and needs planning. I simply find it discourteous (sorry) to exclude us
provincials, not deliberately, I'm sure, but through lack of forethought.

And if it was not expected even a few days ago, why do you expect me to
be asking about it last week? I don't mind being criticised for many
things, but a lack of psychic powers is not one of them.

That's a bit of a crappy line to take (sorry). Sommone can't really
care to meet people or it would have ben pre-arranged. Quite likely it
wasn't expected there would be much chance at all to meet generally, a lot
of things like this are last minute because of time constraints or because
somethng is resolved quicker than expected.

Did you ask last week will you have a chance to meet people while over?
If so, you'd have learned it was not expected even a few days ago, that
there would be any chance for other socializing because of tight time
 constraints.
