Hello everyone,

I hope you're well.

As you may know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. I'm currently in
discussion with a breast cancer charity about jointly hosting a training
and editing session towards the end of October. Please do drop me a line if
this is something in which you'd be interested in participating, as a
trainer or editor.

I'll share more details as they emerge.

It contains the details of the migration, the impact it will have on users
of the UK wiki who have user accounts, and how the old wiki will be
archived as a read only document. You will also notice a site notice go
live for the next two weeks reminding readers to do the following...

*The most important things to do in the next two weeks are: *

Enable email from other users
Download your watch list text before the migration (put in your diary for
the day before)

*Following the migration you will need to:*
Check your email for your new password to a stub account on the migrated
site
Reimport your watch list data
Update your bookmarks in your browser or phone
Log any emerging errors on our bugzilla - https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org.uk/

the FDC (the funding committee of the Wikimedia Foundation) for next
year has now been submitted. Thanks to everyone who helped.

It is based on the board's agreed budget and contains quite a bit of
detail. It is however not carved in stone.  We will have a great deal of
flexibility within our programmes and we will be asking the community where
our emphasis should be as we plan the work for next year.

I hope you find it interesting.
