* Reminder! This is your last few weeks of deployments for the
year/quarter! Deployment freeze starts the week of December 18th.
* Reminder! This is also the first week of the big fundraising campaign.
Please be extra careful not to break CentralNotice (js/skin changes,
resourceloader changes) or donate.wikimedia.org.
* s8 replica set of servers for wikidata (T177208) to be live on 9th
January- check scripts/config that assume wikidata is on s5!). We will have
a small period of read only that day.
* databases no longer guaranteed to be on port 3306 only (T178359)- check
also scripts that assume default/no port (should be transparent for most
people)
* Your performance metrics (esp first paint) may have changed on Nov 2nd.
This is due to a bug in our performance monitoring that we fixed on that
day.
* Please provide feedback on WikimediaUI (OOUI) icon overhaul at
https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/M229 – plan to settle on set by next week
* Last name of thiemowmde changed, can I get an LDAP update?

I see. I just thought it will be very helpful l to add the local checkbox
to the advanced search, from all the keywords that are not still there.

Re: [Wikitech-l] AdvancedSearch beta feature now on Mediawiki

2017-11-29 Thread Birgit Müller
Hi Igal,

thanks for the heads up!

The current list doesn't contain all existing keywords/options, but all the
keywords/options we've discussed in detail so that we could come up with a
decision which keywords we can/can't support or plan to support for now. We
plan to investigate more during the beta phase and update the list
accordingly. I will add this explanation to the list, too!

Hello again, Birgit.
Thank you for the links.
Maybe I'm wrong, but looks like that "Functional scope and planned changes
of the Advanced Search extension" misses the "local:" keyword.

And there is a link to the list of supported/non supported keywords on the

Re: [Wikitech-l] AdvancedSearch beta feature now on Mediawiki

2017-11-29 Thread Birgit Müller
thanks, David and everyone!

I passed the feedback on :-)

A few updates:

* AdvancedSearch is now available on deWP and arWP (
https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T180128) - feedback is still very welcome
here: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Help_talk:Extension:AdvancedSearch
* After requests from the hungarian and persian WP communities, the beta
feature is planned to be deployed to those wikis on Dec 6: See
https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T181498 and
https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T181329 for the details.

Cheers,
Birgit
