Seconding what Gergo said.  A while back, I said something to the effect of
the WMF being busy building detours instead of fixing the pot-holes.  A
systematic prioritization of technical debt would go a long way to
resolving that problem.  That's not to deprecate the hard work and
investment of all of the staff and volunteer developers that keeps the
place functional and brings new and desirable features to the users - thank
you all.
