10 clients, all under 3 miles, it is HPOL and I think noise is around -95 but when I do an AP scan I get at 50+ accesspoints. Mostly everyone's linksys or netgear router. Re: [WISPA] PacWireless 5.8 grid and water
I have several hundred PacWireless 21/25/26/29db grid dishes out (some for 5 years+- ~) and have had only one that had water at the antennas Nf feed horn fitting. This was just last week and when we lowered the whole antenna and jumper I found out that my previous climber had installed a PolyPhaser at the antenna and not at the box. I attribute the water due to poor weatherproofing at the PolyPhaser since I have never had an issue with the PacWireless grids or solid parabolic dishes. Re: [WISPA] Ubiquiti NanoStations
I was looking to review what the units are capable of before I purchased one. I really like the price (don't we all?), but I'm interested in seeing how the feature set stacks up to MT. I know it won't match it, but I wonder how much it really had. Re: [WISPA] Ubiquiti NanoStations
Do the Nanostations work as APs? I'm very interested in also finding out whether polarity can be set as an AP. If they can be I think this is the solution I've been looking for to change out my old tower equipment (esp. at that price! <$1000 to run a 2.4/5.8 tower). Also, does anyone have a manual or any more info about this AirOS? [WISPA] New WISPA Principal Member - John McDowell of Boonlink Communications
I would like to introduce all of you to John McDowell of Boonlink Communications. They are WISPA's newest Principal Member. Like many WISPs Boonlink is seeing stunning growth numbers. From the description below we see the triple play will be coming to market for Boonlink customers shortly. With offers like that I am guessing that their company's growth will continue exponentially. Welcome to WISPA John and Boonlink Communications. We are proud to have you among us. Here are a few words about Boonlink in John's own words: Thanks for the welcome. We're glad to be a part of WISPA. Boonlink has been serving rural Northeast Alabama with quality, reliable high-speed wireless Internet service since 2007, growing from 20 to 250 customers in under seven months. Catering to residential and business customers both, we aim to provide a better choice than Cable, DSL, and in many places, Dial-up. Starting in March of 2007, Boonlink will be offering a triple-play option of voice, Internet, and DirecTV. -- J.M.
