That¹s the way I feel about it. The cost of bandwidth vs. the support and maintenance is a pain. Squid was nice 10 years ago when we had static content. With all the dynamic database driven content it can be a pain for the ISP. If you use some of the cheaper but still decent alternatives for Squid setup and support ie - Vyatta for example - they help maintain that for you. Facebook, MySpace, igoogle - etc - just make no sense to cache ... On the other hand - being able to simply save 30% bandwidth is huge ... in itself. Squid is much like an antenna dish. [WISPA] Trango 5830 AP going deaf
Anyone ever seen a Trango 5830 AP go deaf? I have one that was showing RSSI from AP to SU at 10 to 13db higher than SU to AP. Same on all channels, vert or horiz polarity. Cruddy linktests as well. [WISPA] Tower Mounts
We are planning on opening up a few new towers and will have limited space vertically, I'm looking for a source for sidearms to mount my sector antennas on. The new towers are A-Frames, and I need to extend out from the tower probably at 2'-3' away.
