This takes time. And currently, IPv6 is what ARIN and the other RIRs are handing out. It is the protocol suite being added to gear. Maybe it would be stated better as the current suite is being added to. Either way, v6 is the thing that IS happening. IPv6 has lost many times over. The point of the articles is that *the whole concept of large address spaces is wrong*. IPv6 solves a non-problem. What is solves is not really at issue. I am thinking about writing a little opinionated history piece about where IPv6 and IPv4 and their addressing actually came from. It's a real fustercluck. You assume that the best and the brightest must have really thought it out, but it didn't quite happen that way. You assume too much in assuming that this is my thoughts on the matter. My opinion of IPv6 matters little more than yours. I don't like the idea of ethanol. It's actual usefulness in the real world of today is actually creating a worse problem than it solves. Having that opinion, even IF a lot of people agree with me, isn't going to change what comes out of nearly every pump in the states. -- * Butch Evans* Professional Network Consultation * * http://www.butchevans.com/ * Network Engineering * * http://store.wispgear.net/ * Wired or Wireless Networks * * http://blog.butchevans.com/ * ImageStream, Mikrotik and MORE!* * NOTE THE NEW PHONE NUMBER: 702-537-0979 * ___ Wireless mailing list Wireless@wispa.org http://lists.wispa.org/mailman/listinfo/wireless

Now in the 7th day of testing on the LM317 DC voltage regulator for the NSM5 and it's all good news. I regulated the voltage up to about 20v average and the LM317 doesn't even get warm. With so little heat dissipation there is likely to be very little loss also. Re: [WISPA] East coast storm
Thank you Martha and Brough for your updated status. I am so glad you are safe! For me, his was one of the better mornings to wake up to. I know that there has been a loss of life, but considering the size of this storm, it is minimal. I also know that there will be power issues for days, but it is survivable and manageable. I am glad to know that there are concerned folks that were there and ready to jump in, should this storm had turned a corner for the worse. I am proud to be a member of WISPA/WECAT, who has been networking since Saturday to pull people, equipment and whatever the potential WISPs would have required; should the need have arose. This storm ingrains the concept even further in me that WISPA members are not just members of a trade organization, we are a community first, but also an amazing extended family. We have the big guys beat, not necessarily by the size of our networks or our pocket books, but by the size of our hearts. You guys are wonderful!
