[WISPA] What are you paying for Transport?

2018-09-25 Thread Mike Meluskey
I wish I could get dark fiber, but Transport is all that is available to me.
What rates are you paying from a NOC to your site / tower?
Thanks in advance.

As are US Virgin Islanders.
We have seen FEMA / DHS talk a big game in the VI, but they have accomplished
very little. They did send the marines to clear a remote road on St. John. No
fuel help, no transport help. But they have filled all our hotel rooms and are
enjoying room service and air conditioning.

Re: [WISPA] Looking for opinions on a proposal for PTMP in 6Ghz Part 101 spectrum

2017-06-02 Thread Mike Meluskey
If the sensing database works then I’d be ok with it.
We have five 6Ghz paths, 40 miles between islands, so it is important to us
that those paths are protected.
But we also need more unlicensed spectrum.

Re: [WISPA] epmp 1000 in noisy environment

The “smart” beam forming 90 degree antenna is very impressive for improving
upload speeds.
Our test sector, upgraded from 90 degree ePMP1000, went from 2-3Mbps upload
speeds to 20-30Mbps.
Download has improved as well.

With Sling TV, Roku, Netflix, AppleTV, Fire, etc. I don’t see a way to compete
with the wave of content that is being offered by doing our own IPTV solution.
Here is a website we put together, but have not actively promoted (yet):
