Re: [WISPA] Fixing dead CPE
All the CPQ series and newer have uf.l The only ones that don't are the CPE-200 series which you can probably tell by now are just a CB3. I've not found a way to attach any radio to these so I just throw the antenna out and put a N-Female bulkhead connector on the Tranzeo and use them as if the where a CPQ-N or such mainly with a 24db grid. Re: [WISPA] Fixing dead CPE
A rb411 with a SR2 card will work and plug in but it is not cost effective... I am going to look at some way to do a u.fl on them. I'd be happy if I could find u'fl pigtails, lmr-100 or so with the other end bare wire. blair Kurt Fankhauser wrote: All the CPQ series and newer have uf.l The only ones that don't are the CPE-200 series which you can probably tell by now are just a CB3. I just take two flathead screwdrivers and start in the middle of one of the sides and keep working my way all the way around. Then I re-seal it with some of that black silicone. Re: [WISPA] Fixing dead CPE
Tobin at American Communications can probably repair Tranzeo radios. but you have to pay per radio (Which is probably going to be $200 or so). With the cost of a Tranzeo CPE it is probably going to be cheaper just to replace them then to try and have them fixed. I've hear some are repairing themselves by putting in their alternative boards? Re: [WISPA] Fixing dead CPE
Most of them are just CM9 cards or ubnt cards. Alternate boards work in them, you just have to re-seal the antenna enclosure. ryan On Aug 18, 2008, at 8:00 PM, RickG wrote: I've hear some are repairing themselves by putting in their alternative boards? Re: [WISPA] Fixing dead CPE
RB133 and radio of your choice, costs around $100 and you get more features than Tranzeo and I think better throughput. Only problem with the newer Slim Line series the Rj-45 pigtail is gone since they mount their SBC right up to the hole under the boot so adding an aftermarket board is a problem and I haven't figured out how to do it yet.
