[WISPA] IDS/IPS
I'm looking for recommendations for a IDS/IPS system for our network. Need IPS on our border and IDS inside. We are a bridged/NAT'd network. Thoughts? Dave Hannum New Era Broadband ___ Wireless mailing list Wireless@wispa.org http://lists.wispa.org/mailman/listinfo/wireless
[WISPA] IDS
Hi, I'm looking for a quick and easy IDS package (ISO would be preferred) that I can install for some basic network sniffing (viruses, worms, SMURF, DOS, etc.). I know about Snort, but it is a huge project to get everything installed and working correctly. Anyone know of an ISO (even with Snort ready to run), etc.? or something similar? thanks, Travis Microserv WISPA Wants You! Re: [WISPA] IDS
There was a Linux distro called Sentinix that has since become unmaintained. It was a canned distro with Nagios, Snort, Cacti, MRTG all loaded up and ready to go. If you're looking for something quick and easy it might be worth a shot, although the packages are likely quite old by now. Re: [WISPA] IDS
Hi, This link actually led me to Untangle, which is a cool system I was led to about a month ago while looking for another user tracking program. I didn't realize it had Snort built into it... I'm going to give it a shot. Thanks.
