Nobilis 223II0 manufactured by Uniwill. Nobilis tech support said to send
it back for them to look at it, no help over the phone.

Laptop make/model? Each have their own quirks as to the power system.
Example, Dells are ok to run with no battery, Compaqs tend to get
upset, Acers are hit and miss and i'm sure there are exceptions with
in each. Depending on make/model the power/battery leds should inform
you as to the status of the battery. Dells will do a double fast
orange blink when the controller can not charge a battery. Compaqs
will do a triple double. I forget the Dell pattern for incorrect
battery, the controllers can only handle specific amperage batteries,
and they also know what amperage wall adapter is plugged in and
 everything must match.

Never held one of those. Google does not seam to have a lot on them
other then the general info. I would see about getting a new battery
first. Be sure you can return it with minimal restocking fee.

I have the x60. It does not have xbrite or anything. I've used it
outside a little. But, I don't think I'd want to do that very much.
It's legible, though, IIRC.

$1360 for my rig (2GB RAM, 1.8Ghz core2 duo, 120GB hdd, bluetooth,
fingerprint reader, SD slot, firewire, 12 display, ~3.4 lbs). Saw the
x61 with 1GB RAM on techbargains for $867 days ago.

I forget which one, but one of their laptops was highlighted in Popular
