Along that same line...have you ever seen pictures/video of the construction of the Empire State Building? All those steel workers working, eating, even running on those 8 wide girders...without any safety equipment at all. That was 80 years ago or so. Re: [WISPA] Some great photos
*Just clearing up* My reply to the post was in no way political. The photos with the Iraqi's on the tower freaked me out because they have NO safety gear on what-so-ever. They are also only wearing tennis shoes. In my experience, they are very uncomfortable walking on metal edges in the metal yard... I can only imagine how they would feel on a tower. On another note... Do any of the armed forces sell off these towers? I know they sell off about everything else through govliquidation. I have not seen but two or three towers selling on there in two years of looking. http://cryptome.org/0001/af-fun-news-02.htm Contained in this list are the photo and the story from the photographer's perspective, that the AP was heavily criticized for publishing, of a wounded soldier in Afghanistan that dies a few hours later. I think it's worth sharing to reflect on the sacrifices made by our young men in harms way in their effort to provide a safe future for our families and our children. It also tells the story of their days and provides a stark contrast with our lives and problems that we deal with daily. If so inclined, a daily prayer is recommended for our troop's safety and success in their endeavors to make this a safer world.
