I attended a Mikrotik User Meeting event recently where they shared
some upcoming products. One was an outdoor "smart PoE injector" named
"mUPS" which has terminals for an external 12V battery which will
power the PoE devices. It apparently uses a step up converter so you
may power 24V PoE devices from the 12V battery.
I don't see this product advertised yet but presumably it will be
