Just tried and all it did was yank all the inbox messages. Now I am sending those back to the imap account. It's didn't even try to get the folders. I don't outsource this, but I do host it on the Virtual servers we sell. The key is we can log into the server and do whatever, including getting messages like this etc. e-mail is cheap, its simple to support and just runs for the most part. What do you run on your local machine? Unix or Windows? Does 1and1 require SSL for IMAP?
