Hi All, Several years ago before the advent of the "bonjour gateway" and the "multicast vlan" feature and before I understood the difference between multicast-unicast and multicast-multicast we got hammered by multicast pretty good - some wired uplinks were flogged with just CAPWAP/multicast overhead. At that time we had a single mobility group for all of our WLCs and multicast going everywhere. Long story short - I broke up the mobility groups, etc, etc. and things improved by leaps and bounds.
Fast forward several years later and with half as many controllers and probably twice as many APs but having much better tools for controlling multicast I find myself wanting to try a single mobility group again. I am wondering if any of you out there are using a single mobility group with 5 or more WLCs and 7-10K or more APs on your campus. If so - I'd love to exchange a few emails with you off list.
