Re: Degree Analytics?
Good afternoon all - I have known Aaron (co-founder of Degree Analytics) for a couple of years now, and I have had many different discussions with him about the intriguing technology he has developed and how we might be able to leverage it at SEU. OIT leadership has a high standard for working with vendors, especially those vendors who have access to any of our data. To that end, Degree Analytics has gone through several rounds of vetting and met our standards, and I am excited about signing a formal agreement this spring. Interestingly, our initial project is also going to involve an analysis of how our library and lab spaces are used on campus. yours, Tony Tony Chavez IT Strategist and Enterprise Solutions Architect St. Edward's University Austin, Texas ** Participation and subscription information for this EDUCAUSE Constituent Group discussion list can be found at http://www.educause.edu/discuss.
Re: [WIRELESS-LAN] devices not connecting to open network
I would say data rates is one hurdle, wireless security methodology the another. Gaming devices have notoriously poor support for WPA2 Enterprise, and consequently there usually has to be either a PSK or open network strategy. Vendors that Support per wlan data rates can be of help here, mitigating *some* of the downfalls if enabling lower rates across the board. Yes, these types of devices tend to be more sensitive to any networks that aren't your standard out of the box, home router config. -Original Message- From: The EDUCAUSE Wireless Issues Constituent Group Listserv [mailto:WIRELESS-LAN@LISTSERV.EDUCAUSE.EDU] On Behalf Of Lee H Badman Sent: Tuesday, January 16, 2018 12:21 PM To: WIRELESS-LAN@LISTSERV.EDUCAUSE.EDU Subject: Re: [WIRELESS-LAN] devices not connecting to open network Do you all- regardless of vendor affinity- generally feel that game console success is a matter of supported data rates (where network design and coverage are sound)? Hi Bruce, I am glad to hear your reshall network is working well.
