Re: [Wireshark-users] Save a copy of an IO graph?
Hello, I actually submitted a "bugreport / enhancement request" to Wireshark last week, to add the capability to export an I/O Graph to csv. So now there are 2 of us asking. Is that a quorum?? :-) Anyway, this would be a very useful feature for me - I spend a lot of time creating "bandwidth utilization" charts, as I analyze production and pre-production applications. What format do you want it saved in? Raw data? PDF? [Wireshark-users] Bandwidth Utilization CSV??
Hi. Is there a way to produce a "bandwidth utilization table"? That is, a table that would show bandwidth utilization as a function of time, over the course of a capture file? It looks like the "Statistics / TCP Stream Graph / Throughput Graph" provides this information (B/s over Time), but I have some questions about it that I don't see addressed in the User Guide... * Can I get a CSV corresponding to the Throughput Graph? * When I click my mouse on the graph, it changes the scale of the axes, but I can't figure out how to control exactly how these scales change? Thx for any help. [Wireshark-users] Using Tshark to get bandwidth utilization?
Hi. I have recently captured traffic from 6 different servers, on 4 different days, resulting in a set of 24 capture files. For each of these capture files, I would like to produce a "Mbps" value, representing the associated bandwidth utilization, as is displayed by the "Statistics/Summary" menu item within Wireshark ("Avg. Mbit/sec"). Of course, rather than manually open each file with Wireshark, I'd rather write a script / batch file that will use Tshark to generate the 24 "Mbps" values. I have looked at the Tshark "-z" option, but I have not found a parameter to produce a Mbps or bps value. (Did I miss it?) Is there a way to do this with Tshark that I am missing? Or, is there another way (perhaps even better) to get what I want, without manually opening each packet file with Wireshark? Incidentally, I am running Wireshark/Tshark on XP. Thx much for any suggestions/enlightenment!
