Have a look at Type=binary (REG_BINARY), eg.

RegistryValue Root=HKLM Key=Software\SomeKey Name=SomeValue 
   Value=0200 Type=binary Action=write /

Yup, I ended up doing that, I would have liked to keep the value type as string 
but this will suffice.
