I submit up to three works, either via email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or via physical mail to: Drunken Boat, 119 Main St., Chester, CT 06412. A $15 entry fee accompany all submissions, either via check or money order, else submitted electronically at: http://www.drunkenboat.com/db7/donate.html My submitted works are: the winners in all categories and will be featured in a subsequent issue of Drunken Boat, and will be invited to perform at future multimedia events and performances with all expenses paid. All other entries will be considered for publication. Submissions is received no later than August 15th, 2005. John, I'm using a program called Jave you might like to play with. It's sort of an ASCII Photoshop. http://www.jave.de/ Thanks for the kind words. It has a mirror function so it might allow you to automate your word flippages if you are still doing those by hand. you can also convert to gif for anim.s, photoshop fun, etc. That's how I make the linear arrangements series. I'd love to see what other people might make with it. It's an excellent tool for vispo. I'm just trying to learn it. It's pretty stable. We destroy more knowledge every day in the rainforest than we generate every year or decade perhaps. some figure would be appropriate. all the themes of the earth's natural immanence are well coded into buddhism, native american religions, the biological and ecological sciences, and yet these memes are nothing compared with the chaotic spell of capital. There are some hints that capital might be used to heal the world, but these tiny efforts at enlightened entrepeneurialism are few and far between instead of the norm. I feel it will be the combination of liberated capital and population which will finally do the earth in. It is becoming more evident every day that we are in the end-times. It may take another thousand years, but the inertia is visible everywhere you look. hopefully though techne has its own immanence which may force new alignments, there seems to be some light with things like open-source and creative commons etc some groups which are bringing models of sustainability.
