Re: [WSG] A web culture (exist)
Ciao Piero, Maybe you should reformulate your question. i think the web culture exist, even non explicit as in many cases. In a simple search you can find lots of virtual musical instruments for example: http://www.soundtoys.net/a/links/index.html http://www.iua.upf.es/~sergi/FMOL/ http://www.pitchweb.net/ http://gouda.dcs.qmul.ac.uk/ Books like Cyberculture - Pierre Lévy. http://www.upress.umn.edu/Books/L/levy_cyberculture.html Cyberculture: An Annotated Bibliography In addition, we have a research field called computer music, (see www.computermusic.org), in wich there a lot of publications related to the web. Conferences in this field nowadays call for papers that aproach networked music, like: http://www.icmc2005.org/ http://www.wedelmusic.org/ i am developing a thesis where a web-based environment for cooperative music prototyping is being created, and i am learned a lot of web standards here, in order to apply theirs concepts in this environment. My idea is that using CSCW, HCI and web standards concepts in computer music on the web, is possible to allow lay people in music create and discuss/argument about cooperative music prototypes and, this way, create their own culture on the web. I mean, it's an instrument that have changed our live (and it will change it again). It seams like art isn't interested in. Why? Why do not exist a web culture? Re: [WSG] Site-Check:
Hi, excepting the font size in the content, everything seems to be ok, at least with Opera 6.05 PC, an old version that always show something different and i usually use to the final standard check. The look is very cool. Manara Citando Kristof Rutten [EMAIL PROTECTED]: Hi WSG members, I've been working on my first -total webstandards- project for some time now. It's enteing it's final stage, now only content has to be applied to it. Would you be so kind to do a little site-check to see if it all works out ? I've tested it so far in Safari/Firefox/Camino/Firefox on PC/IE on PC and I see no problems. But hey ;) I've tried to be as compliant as possible. Only have to recorde the contact forms, the app I uses produces crappy 4.01 html code. Tables for forms .. brr .. Re: [WSG][OT] Site Check please (question)
Hi all, I am beginning in webstandards and WSG, and this is my first post. A basic question about this great look (also added in my bookmarks :) Why to use image in the menu if you can get a similar graphic result with text? Is it a good practice even with little bit flick? Thanks Evandro Manara Miletto --- Citando Andy Budd [EMAIL PROTECTED]: paul west wrote: I want to go there - now!!! Me to! Another nice CSS site added to my bookmarks.
