[WSG] Semantic Web

2005-03-04 Thread pierofissore
Is there anyone interested in semantic web? I'd like to try to spread this
topic in the forum I use to attend (http://forum.html.it), but I see that
it doesn't interest a lot.

I think that the principles of semantic web can help us understand much
better the importance of clean and logical coding.

So, can anyone help me understand how to spread the message in a simple
and interesting way?

Thanks,
Piero.

That site is not mine: those guys (students) ask me to write an article
for Mibmagazine. That's what I've done.

My only joined to that magazine is the article. I've already tell them all
your considerations about standards and documents' structure: ther're too
busy now.

This is my site: www.itgmarinoni.it.

Best wishes,
Piero.

[WSG] Writing with a markup language

2005-03-01 Thread pierofissore
I'd like to propose a reading to my italian web friends (or to anyone who
knows the italian language).

I wrote this article thinking about the general laxism I can see all around
me (about web coding). Its title is Writing with a markup language.

What do you think about?

[WSG] IE: why are you so...

2005-02-28 Thread pierofissore
Hello everyone!
As my first post I'd like to ask you something technical.

I've got a simple div element with an unordered list inside (as you can
see at www.re1.it/pierofix/justlinkit : the big gray square with all links).

The div's width is set in percentage and his padding is set in px: ok, it
works!

In the previous version also the padding was set in percentage, but this
solution makes the page a Guernica (by Picasso), with IE, OBVIOUSLY. The
problem is that when I pass the mouse over one of the link in the list,
the link shifts left and top (with 300 links, it seams to be in a disco!).

Have you ever seen this mess before? How did you solve it? I've set the
padding in px but I'm not satisfied.

Thanks to all,
Piero.

P.S. Sorry for my english.

I like it, but my Opera doesn't. :-)
Think there's a missing min-width somewhere, since the background on
the right column is pushed to the left on narrow windows.
No other problems observed.

Ok, thanks. I confess that I know there's this problem with Opera, but I've
never understood how to fix it. You say there's a min-width missing: I'll
check it soon.

Thanks a lot,
Piero.
