Hello, Roger. Maybe you remember me. I asked you permission to
translate your 'Developing with web standards' to brazilian
portuguese. I'm still paning on doing it, but I have no time at the
moment.
In that time you told me about this thing making my site crash in
safari, but I have no mac here to test it, so I don't know what it may
be.
I think it has something to do with the PHP I added to deliver content
as application/xhtml+xml, but I can't figure it out.
I'll try to fix that.
Thanks.

Nice!
Looks good in Safari, OmniWeb, Opera, and Firefox. The menu bar breaks
in IE/Mac - the tabs are stacked vertically instead of lining up
horizontally. I'm guessing that you're floating the tabs and didn't
specify a width for them, which IE/Mac needs.

FYI: I tried taking a look at your old (current) layout, but something
crashes Safari every time. Not sure what causes it.

The fixed width doesn't play very well with my default font size. The
buscar input box spills into the content div. The buttons on the top
have plenty horizontal space, but one button is below the others. The
text size in the right column is much too small, in the left and center
columns, too small.

I'll think about it.

Yes, I know this. The blog itself is delivered as
application/xhtml+xml to the browsers that understand it. But this I
showed here is just an attempt, a single page to show the layout. And
application/xhtml+xml has some issues with adsense and css that i did
not take time to address yet.

Thaks for replying.\

I think that I actually prefer the old layout, however the new one is
good too. Main complaint with the new one is the google ads column. Its
a lot of space for little content. Maybe you could also have some
photography in the header, I like the image used on the previous layout.

Now mark up is whats important on wsg.
Your content type should be "application/xhtml+xml; charset=utf-8"
I would add a description meta too.
Not sure that you really need the fieldset in the email and search forms.
Otherwise it all seems good.
Didn't see any obvious errors.
