Re: [wsjt-devel] jtsdk build of wsjtx can't find libusb
At this end, a complete reinstall of the jtsdk package fixed the problem. jeff On Tue, Jul 5, 2016 at 1:45 PM, KI7MTwrote: > Hi Jeff, Bill, > > I did a full JTSDK installation on a new container of UB-16.04-x86_64 > Unity Desktop. Re: [wsjt-devel] jtsdk build of wsjtx can't find libusb
Hi Jeff, Bill, I did a full JTSDK installation on a new container of UB-16.04-x86_64 Unity Desktop. I did find that libtool is not installed by the jtsdk-meta package, so I'll fix that today, however, if libtool is not installed, the Hamlib3 build should have failed. Obviously something has changed dependency wise in 16.04. With UB-14.04 I did not need libtool listed specifically to the debian control files. I am surprised at this finding as the WSJT-X superbuild test build should have failed on Launchpad, but it hasn't. In any case, I'll update the jtsdk-meta package today, but in the meantime, ensure you have libtool installed. Attached are the exact steps I took to install JTSDK, Build Hamlib3 and WSJT-X. After installing libtool, WSJT-X built and runs as expected. 73's Greg,. HI Jeff, well, you should know that each piece of equipment (and software these days) that you do not test prior to FD will fail when started in the contest. If the packages are there then there must be an issue with the Hamlib configure command or possibly an old build of Hamlib that needs re-doing because some key tool chain component has been upgraded. Have you tried cleaning and rebuilding Hamlib? 73 Bill G4WJS. -- Attend Shape: An AT Tech Expo July 15-16. Re: [wsjt-devel] jtsdk build of wsjtx can't find libusb
HI Jeff, Ok, well, I have a new 16.04 partition I installed this this weekend for some other testing. I'll install the PPA and see if I get the same errors. 73's Greg, KI7MT On 07/04/2016 10:34 PM, jeff millar wrote: > Hi Greg... > > The jtsdk dependencies were installed with apt-get by hand by following the > instructions.
