Re: [wsjt-devel] WSJT-X 2.6.0-rc5 hamlib failure for Flex radio

2022-11-29 Thread Robert Wright via wsjt-devel
The manual copy of http://n0nb.users.sourceforge.net/dll64/libhamlib-4.dll over
the rc-5 install fixed the FlexRadio problem here.

Thanks and 73,

RC5 was built with an older hamlib.

Please try the latest.

New hamlib for installation directions

#1 Shut down WSJTX

#2 Download either the 32-bit or 64-bit DLL matching the 32/64-bit version of
WSJTX -- hopefully your browser doesn't block it but may warn you multiple
times.

If you can do a "Save As" you can save it directly in the appropriate WSJTX
directory C:\WSJT\WSJTX\bin and replace the libhamlib-4.dll that is there.

http://n0nb.users.sourceforge.net/dll32/libhamlib-4.dll

http://n0nb.users.sourceforge.net/dll64/libhamlib-4.dll

Linux/Unix/Mac users need to compile the latest tar file from
http://n0nb.users.sourceforge.net
Note: If compiling on Unix-like systems please uninstall any Hamlib package you
have before installing the new build

#3 If you don't save directly you need to open a file browser and move the file
that way.

If you're not familiar with that here's a video on the file browser -

I just installed the new RC5 into my Windows 10 64 bit computer and am getting
a Hamlib error when trying to activate CAT control.

Radio is a Flex 6500 and I normally use TCP ports to control the Slice
receiver, This is NOT the Kenwood emulation using COM ports. However I get this
error message when I try to test the CAT connection in the Settings/Radio tab
in WSJT-X RC5. See attached jpg.

[wsjt-devel] Muted receive audio causes WSJT-X JT65B decoder to hang

2021-05-20 Thread Robert Wright
Hi All,
I sent this to the list about three weeks ago and got no responses, so either
it got buried in the mail list traffic or the topic is not high enough
priority. Anyways, I will try one more time before I let it drop.
For my X-pol EME station, I run two instances of WSJT-X (currently v2.4.0-rc4)
along with MAP65. The WSJT-X's are set to decode JT65B. When I transmit a
sequence with MAP65 or one of the WSJT-X's, one instance of the WSJT-X's will
still be receiving and the audio will be muted for the duration of the
transmit. (The radio is a FlexRadio 6700.)
The result is that the instance of WSJT-X that was receiving the muted audio
will show "decoding" forever and must be re-started.
I have captured into a WAV file the audio sequence that causes this problem.
This file contains a bit of audio at the beginning, then silence, then a bit of
audio at the end. This WAV file, when opened with WSJT-X v2.4.0-rc4 (and
probably earlier versions), will reliably hang the JT65B decoder. How can I
send this file and report to the development team?
Thank you and 73,
