Re: [wsjt-devel] Help WSJT-X FT857D NAVIGATOR Modem

You don't need a SIgnaLink with the IC-7600.
All you need is one standard USB cable from the rig to your PC and you'll get
both a COM port for CAT control and a USB audio device for the audio.
Do you have such a cable?

First, let me thank you for the reply to help with my
quest.

I need to know what menu items to change to allow for
WSJT-X FT8 operation. Several others use the Signal link
modem with success, but when questioned, do not share/
answer my questions.
The Navigator works fine with an IC-7600 (plenty of
willing participants for that radio/Navigator. The
Navigator works well with my laptop. Software install
was a bit of a bear, but was completed and verified
with local users of the Navigator.

As I am mostly computer knowledge challenged, I cannot
provide much more information.

Again, thank you for the help.

[wsjt-devel] Help WSJT-X FT857D NAVIGATOR Modem

2018-07-02 Thread Charles Otnott via wsjt-devel
List Members,

I have done extensive internet searches for
my station to make it operational with the
following hardware/software, but no search
has found an answer. Hopefully this list can
help.
I am using the WSJT-X v1.9.1, a Yeasu FT-857D,
a Navigator modem, Navigator cable set, Dell
laptop 3.0 Ghz, 8Gb ram, on board sound card,
Windows 7.
All software/computer works with my IC-7600
without the Navigator.

Please reply off list.
