What do have selected under the Decode menu?
Does reducing to Fast help things?

And you said you're seeing just one core running?

Under Linux vmstat that would be like 12% usage for 8 cores.

Starting with RC5, seeing random cases where the decodes either get dropped or 
appear very late.  See jt9.exe take 100% single core for up to 10 seconds into 
the next decode period.  Have seen decode button stay highlighted through to 
the next decode cycle.  jt9.exe ends or crashes but decode still highlighted.  
Decode sequence gets scrambled. See below:
