[X2Go-Dev] Bug#1214: Don't use the whole session slot as input zone to start the session
Package: x2gothinclient Version: 4.1.1.0-0~1634~ubuntu16.04.1 One annoying thing with the x2goclient is the fact that you can start a session without willing it far too easily just because every pixel from a session slot can be used to start a session. Thois is nice when you disable session edit but when it is editable, you can trigger a session start while you're just trying to change the desktop mode or the resolution. I would recommend keeping it that way when session edit is disabled. In the case session edit is enabled, it would be better to limit the zone where you can fire up the session to the top of the slot, where the logo and the session name sits. (see attached capture). [X2Go-Dev] Bug#1213: Missing icons in Eclipse toolbars with GTK2 in Published Apps mode
Package: x2goserver Version: 4.1.0.0-0~1413~ubuntu16.04.1 Running Eclipse with GTK2 backend in Published Apps mode leads to missing icons in the toolbars. They refreshed once you pass the mouse over or switch from one perspective to another so it's not too annoying but that's not great. This doesn't happens with GTK3. Would be nice to have the ability to copy/clone a session in order to create a new session without having to redo all the configuration by hand. Package: x2gothinclient Version: 4.1.1.0-0~1634~ubuntu16.04.1 When you log onto a broker session, you first encounter a login form then get logged in broker mode and see the session list. Once there, if you did a mistake and want to logout without connecting to a remote session, you just can't. There is no "logout" button, only a "halt" button can be added that really shutdown the computer and not only get back to the login form. I would like to see a --closebtn option (just like the --haltbtn) added so that it would enable such a logout button that would be available but only when logged in in the session list. Pushing that button would get you back to the login form. Package: x2goclient Version: 4.1.1.0-0~1634~ubuntu16.04.1 When running a remote session fullscreen on Linux (Ubuntu 16.04 Unity Desktop) and you move away from your screen, the local lockscreen pops up but the remote session stays above it, the lock screen stays behind so the remote session is still visible AND usable so anyone can do whatever he wants on that session even though the local desktop is locked. Package: x2gothinclient Version: 4.1.1.0-0~1634~ubuntu16.04.1 Let's say you suspended a session in "Published Apps" mode from a local desktop (might be Linux or Windows, it doesn't matter) then try to resume it from a TCE running the client in thinclient mode. This will work, you can resume the session but the display is completely broken : no desktop, no decorations, corrupted display and no widget to logoff so you're stuck there unless someone kills your session from the server. It would be better to simply block the ability to resume a Published Apps session in a mode where it just can't be done such as the thinclient mode. Package: x2gothinclient Version: 4.1.1.0-0~1634~ubuntu16.04.1 With Chrome/Chromium browser >49, there is a strange behaviour that is easily reproducible on a remote MATE session (this is happening too in nxagent nested session) : - open a Chrome/Chromium browser and maximize its window - open another application that is not maximized (let's say VLC), it should open in front of the maximized Chrome/Chromium window - click on the Chrome/Chromium window, this should bring VLC behind - try to Alt-Tab or click on the windows button in the windows list panel, this should bring it front but, the button in the panel flashes and the window stay stuck behind until you minimize Chrome/Chromium's window In the .xsession-error log, it triggers these messages : Window manager warning: 0x281 (doc:howto:) appears to be one of the offending windows with a timestamp of 4064013. Working around... Window manager warning: last_user_time (4064436) is greater than comparison timestamp (2931912784). This most likely represents a buggy client sending inaccurate timestamps in messages such as _NET_ACTIVE_WINDOW. Trying to work around... Window manager warning: 0x281 (doc:howto:) appears to be one of the offending windows with a timestamp of 4064436. Working around... Window manager warning: last_user_time (4065636) is greater than comparison timestamp (2931914121). This most likely represents a buggy client sending inaccurate timestamps in messages such as _NET_ACTIVE_WINDOW. Trying to work around...
