And 3.5.99.5 will have a lot less valgrind complaints. See todays

I've fired up Firefox, went to youtube, looked for high resolution
material, full screened it, let it go from one video to the next and for me it
is performing solid, if less efficiently than it used to.

Do you have the most recent nightly build of nxagent, all the libs, and
x2goserver and client?

I'm running Ubuntu 16.10 on the client and Ubuntu 16.04.2 LTS on the
server side. The server I'm using has 32GB of RAM and I7-2600 CPU, Asus
motherbaord. The client is an antique Mac Pro 1,1 with 4G of RAM and an
Nvidia 7600GT video card.

With 3.5.99.2 I was seeing core dumps about ever 4th time I tried to open
a file with nvi, not seeing that behavior anymore. I don't usually use Firefox
on this machine but it is running fine with youtube other than being slow (I'm
seeing maybe 3 frames per second, at one time a year or so ago same hardware
was doing full 30fps video so something has negatively impacted performance
but a lot of other things besides x2go has changed in this time frame).
