Well, porting it yourself or paying someone for the port seem to be your only viable options in that case, I'd say. Of course, you can just sit back and wait and hope that a volunteer ports it for you, but given how long X2Go exists (approx. 10 years) and the fact that no one has ported it until now doesn't make that likely. (We actually had to ban the last guy that attempted a port, because after he got bored with the task and stopped working on it, he focused his attention on spewing misogynic remarks and publicly harassing a particular woman on Twitter and IRC instead. Sad story, don't know what got into him there, but we cannot tolerate such behavior.) [X2Go-User] freebsd
Folks: I've switched my desktop and server to Freebsd. And am looking for an x2go like experience. I see that the x2go client is in ports/pkgs but the x2go server is not. Seems like an incomplete match if you ask me. This setup will allow me to control my work machines from home, but not allow me to control my home machines from work. vnc tunneled over vpn/ssh is rather slow and awkward in some cases. Suggestions welcome. ___ x2go-user mailing list x2go-user@lists.x2go.org https://lists.x2go.org/listinfo/x2go-user
Re: [X2Go-User] X2Go crashes when I run Thunderbird
Anyway, disabling BIG-REQUESTS has some drawbacks ... and advantages. Good point : it make some applications now work out of the box (VSCode, ATOM editor, ...) Bad point : some other apps won't start (VLC) Now make your choice ! Any idea on if and when BIG-REQUESTS will be fixed one day ? Confirmed, adding this line to /etc/x2go/x2goagent.options fixes the problem. Is this a problem with X2Go itself? Or perhaps with my GNU/Linux distribution? (I can report it downstream and suggest that they add this line to x2goagent.options.)
