It is also compatible with Mate which is what I use. For those who are
used to Gnome 2, Mate is basically a fork to continue that line. Even most
of the Gnome widgets work with it.

(RH7.0)

Rob is correct, but I must expand on it:

1. X2Go isn't compatible with RHEL 7.2's GNOME 3.14 (or GNOME 3.8 in
RHEL 7.0 & 7.1), but we are compatible with RHEL7's KDE4 and (I think)
all the desktop environments in EPEL.

2. I recommend you install X2Go from EPEL:
http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/doc:installation:x2goserver#rhel_7

You can also install the packages from our repo:
http://wiki.x2go.org/doku.php/wiki:repositories:epel#adding_the_x2go_repository_to_your_package_system

3. The server is the latest 4.0.1.x version, and the client is the
latest 4.0.x.y version. Both are referred to as codename heuler, or
main.

Is there?s an X2GO version that runs smoothly on RH7.0. or RH7.2. If not,
then what?s the latest version of RH that is supported by X2GO?

thanks
