Re: [Xastir] Released: Xastir 2.0.8 stable
Thank You Iain, Once it clears Debian then someone can push the buttons for an Ubuntu "scrape" and get that process rolling. All good things in good time. Dave KB3EFS On 07/01/2016 06:47 PM, Iain R. Hi, -- CC'ing debian-hams list in case there's anyone that would be interested in doing this work, but please follow up on the Xastir list to avoid breaking the thread. I'll happily review and sponsor an upload for that backport, if someone wanted to do the backporting work. Going back 6 years tends to mean that libraries have changed enough that it's considerable work and so I wouldn't want to commit to it myself. For those unfamiliar with the Debian package migration process: * 5 days of automated QA tests before migrating to testing "stretch" * After 5 days (when I grab some time) I can upload to "jessie-backports" as there does seem to have been demand for this * Ubuntu scrape from Debian unstable, it is possible for it to appear in Ubuntu's next version before it's even entered testing, but sometimes can take months, I've not figured that one out yet. Alright! Thanks for the early fireworks Curt! Thank You Curt! Confirming build from CVS via "update-xastir" script with no errors on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS with all updates in place. Now to get the various distro's updated... I know Iain ( i...@learmonth.me ) is on here and awaiting the update for Debian and derivatives.
