After the CVS was done I preformed the following ./bootstrap.sh ./configure Make clean It fails right here Unknown Make or make Please read the Wiki HowTo for the version of Ubuntu you're using. build essentials was already there and up to date. Thanks As Tom R. indicated earlier, there are instructions in the Wiki for the version of Ubuntu that you are using. The installation notes can be found at http://www.xastir.org/wiki/Installation_Notes#Ubuntu If you install the latest version of Ubuntu (10.04), there's a shell script available per the instructions that automates the installation.
