[Xen-ia64-devel] XEN on machines with EFI
Hello! I installed the xen-ia64 version on an Itanium2. I`m using Debian Sarge 3.1! I configured the elilo.conf normally, but when I reboot... not shows the option XEN on my elilo! How do I boot the xen using EFI? Anything different? It hangs when try to load the line vmm=/boot/xen.gz: Unkown option vmm 7 0 0x6B 0x0018 unexpected trap 7 0 0x66 0x0018 trap taken,number in ext PE 7 0 0x3C 0x5400 trap taken,offset in ext PE My elilo.conf: install=/usr/lib/elilo/elilo.efiboot=/dev/sda1delay=20default=linuximage=/boot/vmlinuz label=linux root=/dev/sda2 initrd=/boot/initrd.img read-only image=/boot/xenlinuz vmm=/boot/xen.gz label=xen root=/dev/sda2 initrd=/boot/initrd.xen read-only append=sync_console dom0_mem=768M max_addr=64G -- nomca root=/dev/sda2 xencons=ttyS8 console=ttyS8 Thanks! ___ Xen-ia64-devel mailing list Xen-ia64-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-ia64-devel
RE: [Xen-ia64-devel] XEN on machines with EFI
Rodrigo, From your log, it should be caused by incorrect elilo. The current elilo for xen is a modified version, and it can support vmm option. You can get it from xen source @ ./xen/arch/ia64/tools/xelilo/xlilo.efi. Pls have a try .
