[Xen-ia64-devel] Unaligned access when doing things through ssh session
Hi, For several hours I've been tracking this problem with no luck. I manage to create and successfully boot domU no HP rx2600 Itanium machine. When I do things through system console (attached via xm console dom_id), the system runs smoothly. On the other hand, when I attach through ssh, then many kernel unaligned access messages appear on dom0 system and domU slows down when I enter commands via ssh session. Anyone knows reason for this problem? -Piotr -- Piotr Siwczak [EMAIL PROTECTED] System Administrator Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center Supercomputing Department (www.eu-egee.org [EMAIL PROTECTED]) -- ___ Xen-ia64-devel mailing list Xen-ia64-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-ia64-devel
Re: [Xen-ia64-devel] Large memory support
Hi, I managed to sort the problem out. I found that I had something like max_mem=64G passed as an option to dom0 kernel. When I removed it, highmem support started to work. Thanks for helping me with it. -Piotr Tristan Gingold napisał(a): Le Lundi 24 Juillet 2006 13:25, Piotr Siwczak a écrit : Hi, The output of the xm info oes below (you can see only 1GB is visible): (FYI: to compile I just entered make world -j4 and that's all - I assume the vanilla kernel i properly patched when you make world) Which version of Xen are you using ? Where does it come from ? Also the output of 'memap' from efi is interesting to diag such memory pbs. [Xen-ia64-devel] Large memory support
Hi, I've recently started to set up xen on one of my itanium servers. The domains boot smoothly with only one thing being salt-in-the-eye:. I cannot assign more than about 700MB to all my machines. My node has 2Gb of RAM in total. I found on mailing lists, that you should enable high memory support in the kernel's config. This should be located in Processor type and features tab in make menuconfig. I cannot find this option for itanium. I tried to enable the Virtual mem map for both domO and domU with no luck. Can anyone help me with this? Thanks, -Piotr ___ Xen-ia64-devel mailing list Xen-ia64-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-ia64-devel
