 Quoth [EMAIL PROTECTED]:

with RH90 distribution I cannot install the system from graphical
  environment, only text.

You need a VideoRam line in you XF86Config file to tell the driver how
much system memory to use. try adding
 VideoRam8192

 to your Device section.
I'd also recommend runnin in 16bit colour. There can be problems with the
i855 in 24 bit (gets unstable when VT-switching) and there is no hw
 accceleration in 24bit mode AFAIK.

It looks like you are missing alot of modules. eg:

 /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/i810_drv.a
 /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/input/mouse_drv.a
 /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/extensions/libexmod.a
 etc...

Perhaps you have an incomplete XFree86 installation?

 Mark.

[XFree86] XF86config setup :Matrox G450

2003-10-24 Thread Nestor Roldan
Still my XF86Config file doesn`t work properly , I think so all of my
troubles are around to my Video Card Configuration , the Mandrake 7.0
doesn`t include the Matrox G450 (dual head monitor) and I tried with another
cards i.e G200 (single head monitor) series with not luck .I have the G450
Drivers but I`m not a Linux expertise and I have been trying with different
configuration with not success , I hope you can send me a new library . I
have been using a Samsung Sync Master 3 Monitor and other Samsung series
like 750S and are working perfectly with another linux version like 8.2
using same video card G450 .I have a linux 7.0 fully configurated with a
software package which I need to preserve with my current hardware
configuration .The software are running with other hardware configuration
i.e Matrox G200... .I hope you can handle it .

Thanks in advance .
