via_drv documentation

2004-01-06 Thread Uberto Barbini
I've learned from experience that ShadowFB option works differently from
documentation, the man says:
Option ShadowFB boolean
but the shadow framebuffer it's disabled by default and the option activate it
whether it says true or false.

This'd be fixed (either the behavior or the doc) IMHO.

Did you write a bugzilla about this?

There are a few patches about via_driver that apparently aren't going to be
merged in xfree anytime soon.
As a matter of fact none replied on ML about via_driver.
With bugzilla is simpler to keep track of all these patches.

epia and xv 4:2:2

2003-11-27 Thread Uberto Barbini
I have a epia M1 with Gentoo, kernel 2.6.0-test9, xfree 3.99.16 and a
DVB-S card.

I can see tv with xawdecode using xv and surfaces 4:2:0 but if I try tvtime
which uses 4:2:2 I see the image distorted:
Seems like the two halves overlapped, combining in only half witdh of the
screen.

For detail see:
http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detailatid=506987aid=838867group_id=64301

As suggested I tried xvtest (http://www.xfree86.org/~mvojkovi/) and there's
the same problem with Bacall picture.

TIA
