[XFree86] keyboard code?

2004-12-03 Thread zippo
Is there way to set X up so it will handle Raw keyboard code?

Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Keyboard0"
Driver "kbd"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/event2"
Option "XkbLayout "us"
EndSection

That is why i am asking, with that the way it is all it does is dump out the
raw keycode to the screen, which isn't much help. I have heard X can handle the
RAW keycodes, but i don't know how to set that up, any help i would be most
thankful, Jason.

[XFree86] when i start X

2004-12-01 Thread zippo
I am trying to do multi head, with dual video cards and such, I got everything
working, other then, i have to start the second X server with "X -config
./xorg.conf-mod :1 vt7" The issue is, just starting the server with X, doesn't
run the xinitrc or anything, so i have a nice gray screen, "startx" doesn't
allow me the configureing needed, that i know of. If anyone could help me out
with some info on how to get past this i would be most thank-ful.

[XFree86] NTPL + Xinerama

2004-04-05 Thread zippo
I have tried several times to build X with glibc with NTPL. However when i do that X
runns, but my Xinerama is all messed up. It desides to make the second monitor the
main monitor and when i kill X nothing comes back and i am forced todo a hard reboot.
But if i build X with glib and linuxthreads it works fine. Is this a known problem or
what is up!?!?!?. I have attached a copy of my config file just encase it's me.

[XFree86] Matrox P750

2003-10-01 Thread zippo
I just got a Matrox P750, i installed the drivers and played with XF86Config, I have
it working, but. When i run a DVD the CPU load is 75% and all of it is being used by
X. Glxinfo says DIR is working, and on GLXGEARS i am getting 500 fps or so with almost
0% CPU load. GLXGEARS also locks up alot. This just isn't makeing sence to me. I am
useing XFee86-4.3.0.1 fresh compile, and The Drivers supplied by Matrox. I have
attached a copy of my XF86Config, and the README file they gave me, If there are
better drivers one knows about or knows anything about this i would be most thankful.
