I think it works fine most of the time but only in the case I mentioned above. I explain my situation again to you here. 1.I (on the same network as the xmail-server) send an e-mail with attachment to multiple recipients, say 15. 2.I can see in debug mode that the filter involve correctly and gives the correct ret code. 3.But after a while, xmail stops. 4.I have to restart xmail manually. 5.Then I can see in ps -A that the checkvirus.pl runs and then clamscan runs. 6.Everything back to normal. Hope this helps. Thanks. [xmail] Psync don't get them all
Hi,. With my Xmailserver(v1.17) on w2k I get external mail via Psync. Normal mail is no problem, but spam and virusmail without a proper "to:" address stay in the external mailbox. Until I reach the max size of the mailbox and then I can't receive anything. Is it possible to give a joker name in the poplinks.tab to fetch all the mail? Or has somebody a better idea? As a temporary solution I fetch the blokking massages with a standard popclient. [xmail] Re: Re-Post email to xmail
What is the method used to resend the mail to xmail ? If with an smtp session, filters will be executed in sequence without = any possibility to start at a specific point. A way to resolve your problem : ALLWYAS put your filter as the FIRST to execute. Doing that you will be sure, on the second pass (repost), that = when your filter return 'continu process' (0 if I remember) on detection of = your 'specific code', then the message will go to the others filters. If resend via local delivery (using spool/local) I'm not sure xmail = will execute ANY filters at all (nor in nor out, don't remember and never = test ) ... Davide, can you confirm ? Since a dig/nslookup alway work, try configure xmail to use the same = dns server as dig/nslookup use to resolve (normaly your local dns server or = your isp dns server). Use smartdnshost entry in server.tab to specify the = dns server to use. This will resolve your problem on 99% cases. I noticed this problem with xmail internal resolver then letting it do = by itself Then I "smardnshost"ed xmail, then all run fine ...
