[xmail] Clarification please

2006-08-20 Thread Eric Garnice

Is it true that if I specify a server in DefaultSMTPGateways in
server.tab, XMail will no longer perform any MX lookups and relay all
outbound mail through this server (even bounced messages)?

Thanks.

With PHPXmail I have configured all file
I have changed the occurrence of xmailserver.org with my server-name and =
 the ip mask (10.0.0.0/24)
Changed one userid password as i like
 all other settings are defaulted.
 but
I'll not connect the Mozilla Mail client.
 I get the following message:

An error occured with the POP3 mail server Mail server 10.0.0.100 respond=
 ed:
 (followed by a blank row)

The IP trace show the reply 220 server ready
but with any other pop3 server the first reply is +OK .

Hmmm, it seems you're connecting to the SMTP port :|

 Davide,

I was just curious of you are still working on new feature for XMail or if
you consider it a mature and finished product? J

I don't think it's finished. But it is mature for sure ;)
