[Xpert]TwinView and Font sizes

2002-05-02 Thread Luke Burton

Hi there,

I am running a TwinView configuration. Please find the startup log and
conf files attached to this e-mail. My xfs config file is unchanged from
  the default RH 7.2 installation.

I am having difficulties with font sizes - some fonts, both true type
and otherwise, are being incorrectly scaled much large than they need to
be when I have the 2nd monitor active. When I remove TwinView and keep
just one monitor (the 1400x1050 one), the font sizes return to normal.

Is there any work around for this, or is it a known issue?

One example I've been able to find to illustrate this is the main page
of the Register (www.register.co.uk) when viewed through Mozilla RC1.

Rgz,

Luke.

[Xpert]NVIdia Twinview question

2002-04-10 Thread Luke Burton

Hi there,

I have a Dell laptop which features the NVidia GeForce2 GO graphics card.

I have TwinView functioning just fine, but I am wondering whether it's
possible to have the second monitor running with a separate X server.

The problem is that my second monitor is just a 15" LCD, which only
supports 1024x768. So pairing that with the 1400x1050 LCD of the laptop
makes for a fairly awkward virtual desktop. The panning feature is cool,
but I would prefer a separate screen altogether.

Anyone have some suggestions?

Regards,

Luke.
