Hi,

the error indicates that qtwebkit is not installed on your machine. Try
installing the package python-pyqt5.qtwebkit, it should solve the
problem.

New question #446239 on Yade:
https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/446239

Hello guys,

I have found some issues after i installed the new Ubuntu version on my
computer.

I'm using the UBUNTU 16.10 and also the packages are Yakkety.

So, When i run the program, i am finding this error below:

"Welcome to Yade 2017.01a-1-g8b81444~yakkety
TCP python prompt on localhost:9000, auth cookie `kydseu'

Do someone know how to solve this problem? What is it going on?

Thanks for advance.

Question #446171 on Yade changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/446171

Status: Open => Answered

Jérôme Duriez proposed the following answer:
Hi,

The JCF model (see [*] and related classes) has a "smoothJoint"
attribute that is useful (in rock mechanics, usually) to describe plane
to plane contacts instead of sphere to sphere.

But I have to say, my understanding of your question is way too limited
to guess if this is what you want

In particular, how would some contact smoothing relate with 2D simulations ?
For 2D simulations, you may basically just define all your particles centers to
be in the same plane, and block appropriate degrees of freedom.
And you would end up simulating interacting 2D circles (with one circular
particle = just one YADE body)...

[Yade-users] [Question #446171]: Contact Smoothing

2017-01-23 Thread bruna
New question #446171 on Yade:
https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/446171

Hello everybody!

Does anybody know if it is possible to smooth the contact between two particles
so that it loses its angularity? I am trying to create a 2D circular particle
gluing spheres and locking one of the free planes.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Bruna.

Hi,
You are probably not running the debug build if you don't see more output.

have you tried to set the whole object,

?
