Re: [Yade-users] [Question #700587]: My fluid-solid coupling script run very slowly
Question #700587 on Yade changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/700587 Jan Stránský posted a new comment: Hello, concerning OP, the problem stated was "it runs very slowly ...I wonder if this is normal?", which was discussed and IMO solved. The "last problem" is not difficult to miss among other information. I suggest to open a new question concerning the meshUpdateInterval value (see also [1], point 5). [Yade-users] [Question #700691]: Triaxial strength and strain about JCFpmMat parameters
New question #700691 on Yade: https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/700691 Hello, everyone. I try to use JCFpmMat to simulate rock materials, but there are many parameters in JCFpmMat such as young,poisson,tensileStrength,cohesion,frictionAngle.. I don't know which parameters are related to the peak strength of the material,I made a series of attempts, but the simulation was a little time-consuming and failed to draw a certain rule.(in my triaxial compression simulation, I set that when the stress is lower than 90% of the historical maximum stress, it is regarded as sample failure) So,I wonder if anyone has done similar work and can give some suggestions about parameters. At present, the peak strength I get is lower than my requirements. How should I adjust the parameters? Re: [Yade-users] [Question #700674]: Questions about server configuration for YADE computing
Question #700674 on Yade changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/700674 Status: Open => Answered Robert Caulk proposed the following answer: You can use NVMe storage for your yade/is installations as well as fast ram. You can ensure highest clock frequency for your cpu, and ensure that it maintains high clock when all cores are active.
