Robert told me that it needs much more time. Due to my short time period before the conferences, I have to postpone it. I will try to make some modifications after that. Question #701641 on Yade changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/701641 Bruno Chareyre posted a new comment: Hi there, Just a quick comment: non-newtonian fluid flow at the pore scale sounds very interesting but right now I have no idea how to achieve that. It would need, I presume, to solve a non-linear system of equations, which will be very different. There is nowhere a single line of code that you could tweek to turn the fluid non-newtonian. Question #701641 on Yade changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/701641 Status: Open => Answered Robert Caulk proposed the following answer: Hello, Yes, that is the folder containing the FlowEngine source code. >>For changing the fluid properties, which one should I select? >>Would you please let me know how I can do the modification? >>And after the modification, how can I use this in my model? Honestly, there is no simple answer to any of these questions without knowing ALOT more about your project. But for me, that starts to become consulting work. If you really need a one on one lesson for how FlowEngine files are connecting and what kind of modifications you need to make - you can go to discord to open a line of communication with me: https://discord.gg/rku35YXZJd Cheers, Robert -- You received this question notification because your team yade-users is an answer contact for Yade. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~yade-users Post to : yade-users@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~yade-users More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Would you please let me know how I can do the modification? And after the modification, how can I use this in my model? Is there any tutorial for this? Many thanks in advance. [Yade-users] [Question #701641]: Non-Newtonian fluids in PFV model
New question #701641 on Yade: https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/701641 Hello everyone; Hope you are doing well. I am using the PFV model for obtaining the permeability of saturated porous media with water which use Stokes equation. Now I want to obtain the permeability of saturated porous media with non-Newtonian fluids (shear thinning- xanthan gum solutions). Would you please let me know whether it is possible to use the PFV model for non-Newtonian fluids or not? I am grateful for any hints or insights into this issue. Many thanks in advance.
