https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/224356

Status: Answered = Open

Eugen Kubowsky is still having a problem:
ok thank you guys, this works.
Is it possible to access python promt and batch summary from a remote computer
in same network?
If I type 120.230.43.222:9000 in my browser, connection will be refused. I wont
even be asked for auth cookie...

Jan Stránský proposed the following answer:
Hello Eugen,
see [1], telnet acces to yade is only possible on localhost. You can use
ssh to connect to the computer yade is running on and than use the same
procedure from my previous answer.
I am not sure about batch summary.

 New question #224356 on Yade:
 https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/224356

Short question: how can I access TCP Infos under for example
 localhost:9000 likeKlaus Thoeni described [1]?
if I use lynx localhost:9000 it says: Enter auth cookie: Bye ('127.0.0.1',
 36976)
How can I enter the right cookie?

 Thanks a lot

Question #224356 on Yade changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/yade/+question/224356

Status: Open = Answered

Klaus Thoeni proposed the following answer:
Hi Eugen,

I think you have the wrong port number. If you run

nohup yade-batch script.py script.log

check the file script.log for (e.g. line 6)

http://localhost:9080 shows batch summary

The port number should be 9080 and not 9000. 9000 is used for TCP python
prompt.

Further make sure the script is still running when you access the batch
summary on localhost.

HTH Klaus
