[yocto] [Recipe reporting system] Upgradable recipe name list
This mail was sent out by Recipe reporting system. This message list those recipes which need to be upgraded. If maintainers believe some of them needn't to upgrade at this time, they can fill RECIPE_NO_UPDATE_REASON in respective recipe file to ignore this remainder until newer upstream version was detected. Example: RECIPE_NO_UPDATE_REASON = "Version 2.0 is unstable" You can check the detail information at: http://recipes.yoctoproject.org/ Package VersionUpstream version Maintainer NoUpgradeReason - --- -- texinfo 6.06.1 Alejandro Hernandez ruby 2.2.5 2.3.1 Alejandro Hernandez perl 5.22.1 5.24.0Alejandro Hernandez python-dbus 1.2.0 1.2.4 Alejandro Hernandez python-git1.0.2 2.0.5 Alejandro Hernandez python-mako 1.0.3 1.0.4 Alejandro Hernandez python-numpy 1.10.4 1.11.0Alejandro Hernandez python-pygobject 3.18.2 3.21.0Alejandro Hernandez python-scons 2.4.1 2.5.0 Alejandro Hernandez python-pexpect4.0.1 4.1.0 Alejandro Hernandez python3-setuptools19.4 22.0.0Alejandro Hernandez python3-pip 8.0.0 8.1.2 Alejandro Hernandez eudev 3.1.5 3.2 Alejandro Hernandez python-setuptools 19.4 22.0.0Alejandro Hernandez perl-native 5.22.1 5.24.0Alejandro Hernandez python-scons-native 2.4.1 2.5.0 Alejandro Hernandez liberation-fonts 1.04 2.00.1Alexander Kanavin2.x depends on fontforge pa... bjam-native 1.60.0 1.61.0Alexander Kanavin gnome-desktop33.18.2 3.20.2Alexander Kanavin watchdog 5.14 5.15 Alexander Kanavin kexec-tools 2.0.11 2.0.12Alexander Kanavin btrfs-tools 4.44.5.3 Alexander Kanavin sysprof 1.2.0+gitX 3.20.0+gitAUTOINC... Re: [yocto] How to set KCONFIG_MODE for defconfig and fragments
On 2016-06-12 9:40 PM, Kunihiko Hayashi wrote: Hello, all Now I'm trying to build my own kernel with linux-yocto recipe, and I make kernel configuration fragments (".cfg" file) according to "Linux Kernel Development Manual", and my fragments can't be applied to the kernel at all. I find that linux-yocto recipe uses "allnoconfig" as default, and configurations that my fragments depend on are disabled. Your fragments really should be specifying not only their options, but the dependencies as well, or you need to have them include other fragments that set those dependencies. If you don't, you are relying on the baseline configuration .. which is either a defconfig or ktype fragments in linux-yocto. That is also ok, just something to be aware of. KCONFIG_MODE = "--allnoconfig" I assume that KCONFIG_MODE has the option of "configme" script, but this option is undocumented on any manuals. If I apply "defconfig" and my additional fragments as it is, how do I set KCONFIG_MODE in my recipe? (null string or another option?) KCONFIG_MODE is a variable like any other. In your kernel recipe, you can just set it to one of the valid options. KCONFIG_MODE = "..." Note: those valid options are only [--alldefconfig] [--allnoconfig], since that is what the kernel merge_config.sh script can process. [yocto] any way to start culling (or updating) yocto web pages?
more nitpicky pedantry, but is there any value in removing obviously dated references from some of the YP web pages? i just googled on "openembedded smart package manager", and the very first hit took me here: https://www.yoctoproject.org/blogs/khem/2013/get-smart-smart-package-manager which talks about smart "coming out" with YP 1.4, from back in 2013. i suspect there's more of that. rday -- Robert P.
