I was at The Wiltern Theatre one night in 1987/88 when FZ and a few of his family members were in the audience for a concert by the Bulgarian Women's Choir http://www.singers.com/choral/voicesangelite.html I also recall being at a concert at The Japan-American Theatre in Los Angeles for a Conlon Nancarrow concert and Conlon was actually in attendance.
