[zfs-discuss] How Do I know if a ZFS snapshot is complete?

2010-04-28 Thread rashard Kelly
I took a snapshot of one of my oracle filesystems this week and when someone
tried to add data to it it filled up.

I tried to remove some data but the snapshot seemed to keep reclaiming it as i
deleted it. I had taken the snapshot says earlier. Does this make sense?

[zfs-discuss] Importing ZFS pool on LUN from another system

2009-08-19 Thread rashard Kelly
I had
a LUN on a system that died but the pool on the lun was still good. I made
it available to my new system but cant import it. It appears in format but
zpool import has not gave me any results. The pool was not exported or
anything it was just detached after the net connection and that machine
died. The origional machine was opensolaris 06.2009
