The successful candidate should be familiar with the Tandem/HP Non-stop system operations. The operator will provide first line problem management skills to detect diagnose and progress problems to a successful resolution. The operator should have experience with various types of Tandem utilities (TMF, Netbatch, Mediacom, SCF, Spoolcom and TACL). Tandem Operations is responsible for the monitoring and daily execution of batch jobs, system tasks, assisting users and application support personnel with problems such as printing, resetting term ID's and placing vendor service calls. Monitoring tools include Viewpoint, Tivoli and Prognosis. This candidate should also be familiar with the execution of daily, weekly and monthly backups that are performed on platforms such as; Tandem, VMS and HP systems. In addition this candidate should be self motivated, have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
